Cycle for the City is a ride event created to provide an opportunity for participants to experience different areas of the city and raise awareness about spaces that need revitalization. Your support through bike participation and donations will benefit three non-profit partners working to make our city thrive. You can make a difference! Your support will help rebuild our city and show our community what “love thy neighbor” really means.
Christian Friends of New Americans (CFNA) is dedicated to helping immigrant and refugee neighbors acclimate and integrate into the St. Louis community. Refugees arriving in St. Louis come with a host of needs: housing, furniture, employment, learning the English Language, education - particularly for kids – and, most importantly, spiritual/religious needs. CFNA works within the St. Louis community to provide a host of services that enable immigrants and refugees to resettle, thrive, and become productive members of the community. CFNA partners with local Lutheran congregations, schools, and individuals, NGOs, and various grant-giving foundations to offer a range of programs and services for New Americans. CFNA loves their neighbors by welcoming New Americans to the city, helping them navigate systems and learn cultural differences and embracing them into church communities where they can grow and thrive.
Humanitri works to stabilize families in crisis through a holistic approach that includes temporary housing, skill development, and a network of professionals all designed to help them establish sustainable life change. Our 2-generational approach encourages families to work together to address the root cause of their situation, develop critical life skills, learn to navigate everyday situations, and collaborate to achieve goals. They love their neighbors by finding safe, temporary housing for families in crisis, working virtually and in-person to build skills and supporting the families in their programs as they work to change the trajectory of their lives.
Lutheran Development Group (LDG) focuses on serving the areas around St. Louis city churches through real-estate development, community initiatives, ministry investment, and church engagement. They believe that comprehensive revitalization is beyond the ability of any one organization, but not beyond organizations and community working together. LDG loves their neighbors by desiring safe housing for all, access to meaningful work, quality education, youth jobs and leadership development, communities of opportunity and churches that are connected to and engaged with their neighborhoods
